The Underworld is the realm where all of the lands of the dead and prison dimensions are located.

Background

The Underworld exists in the Sphere of the Gods, a metaphysical plane of existence home to all of the gods and extra-dimensional beings, and its polar opposite is Skyland.

As the realm of the dead, the Underworld comprises all of the underworlds known to ancient mythologies. When the living leave the Orrery of Worlds, they go to the realm that corresponds to their faith. Prison dimensions such as the Kryptonian Phantom Zone are also located here.

Classic Game

• During the raid Fortress of Solitude: Power Core, Lex Luthor activates the Phantom Zone Projector, freeing General Zod.
• During the raid Fortress of Solitude: Sunstone Matrix, Zod sabotaged the Projector and released Ursa, Non, and the Kryptonian Militia, but they were sent back to the Phantom Zone but Superman's and Luthor's allies.

Episode 3: The Battle for Earth

• Brainiac has invaded the Tartarus and stolen the Flame of Change, and Wonder Woman and Circe and their allies team up to stop him at The Gates of Tartarus during the homonym raid.

Episode 13: Amazon Fury Part II

• In the Act of Defiance operation alert, after defeating the Hydra at the Gates of Tartarus in Themyscira, Wonder Woman and Circe cross the Gates to Tartarus, asking their allies to gather more people to brave the Underworld.
• The Labyrinth of Lost Souls is the location of the homonym raid.
• The Halls of Hades is the location of the homonym raid.
• The Throne of the Dead is the location of the homonym raid.
