Poison Ivy has escaped her restraints thanks to an unknown benefactor and has taken over Arkham Asylum's Northeast Wing, infesting the asylum's halls with her mutated plants as Mister Freeze and Scarecrow take over the other wings.
Involvement[]
- Poison Ivy is a miniboss in the Arkham Asylum (Alert) instance. Players are tasked by Batman (heroes) and Joker (villains) to re-incarcerate her.
Combat Tips[]
Fight Mechanics[]
- Throughout the fight Ivy will "teleport" herself around the stage via a plant that will pop up from the ground and swallow her, the plant will then disappear back into the ground and reappear behind the player to deposit Ivy who will renew her attack.
- Ivy uses mostly Hand Blast attacks. She will go through three phases as the fight progresses:
- Phase 1
- Ivy will continualy summon a swarm of Death Blossoms that will chase the group.
- Phase 2
- Ivy will summon a large number of Sapling Pods, which will spawn Gallows Oak Saplings after a short while - players must pick up and throw/smash these Pods to destroy them and reduce the number of Gallows Oak Saplings they will hatch.
- In addition to attacking the players, after the Gallows Oak Saplings hatch, Ivy will wander across the stage and "empower" any Gallows Oak Saplings she encounters; turning them into Gallows Oak Guardians.
- Phase 3
- Ivy will summon a ring of Venus Flytraps around the edge of the arena, which will constantly revitalize and respawn.
- In addition to attacking the players, Ivy will periodically teleport behind a player and blow pollen them. The Venus Flytraps will become attracted to the pollen and specifically target that player with their ranged attacks.
