Orbital Strike Uplink Device is an epic trinket available from the dispenser in a player character's base after unlocking it in the Mainframe.

Obtained from[]

  • Base Dispenser

Notes[]

  • 4 minutes cooldown.
  • The Orbital Strike deals damage against all targets in a small radius equal to a percentage of their maximum health (25% default, 35% Boost I, and 45% Boost II) in 5 hits over 2 seconds (or 5%, 7%, and 9% per hit).
  • Boost II additionally roots and stuns all targets hit (this triggers Ally: House of Legends Bot's passive effect).
  • Orbital Strike can be aimed at a target or at the player's location. The maximum range is exactly the same range as when the targeting reticle on an opponent turns red instead of grey. If used outside of maximum range, it will be used at the player's location.
  • The stun targeting is technically separate from the damage; if a mob outside of maximum range is targeted, the stun zone can occur around that mob, while the damage zone occurs around the player.
  • Bosses (and certain mobs with higher-than-normal health) take greatly reduced damage from Orbital Strikes. A number of bosses, including Terra in Titans: H.I.V.E. Reborn and The Merciless in Metal Pt. I: False Idols, have mechanics that specifically counter Orbital Strikes, further discouraging their use.
  • Certain boss mechanics that reduce all damage taken will also further reduce damage from Orbital Strikes, like Deadly Isis in SoBA: Godseye Pyramid with all orbs, or Neron in SoBA: Neron's Underworld at the beginning of the battle.
  • Orbital Strike can target targetable objects, but cannot damage them.
  • The Dead King's Scepter artifact can be used to boost the effects of orbital strikes.

Trivia[]

  • Normally, the smallest amount of damage an Orbital Strike can deal in one hit is 10. Targets with less than 200 maximum health are immune to its damage, but not Boost II's control effects.
    • Orange Lanterns in the open-world Christmas event, which normally reduces all damage taken to 1 and have 6 total health, can still be damaged by Orbital Strikes (at 1 damage).
  • Sparring Targets in the Watchtower and League Halls take reduced damage, but not the Sparring Targets in House of Legends. The latter will take 2160000 damage per hit at max rank, indicating that they have 240000000 (24 million) maximum health.
  • There are many versions of the device, the difference between them is only in visuals. Once a unique device has been equipped, it becomes integrated and untradeable, and can be retrieved infinitely from the Base Dispenser like the regular version.
  • There are many bosses with attacks that resemble an Orbital Strike of their theme, like Dawnbreaker, Darkfather, and Ultraviolet Nightmare. However, those attack do not use the same damage formula but rather often does massive or one-shot damage if not evaded.
