Man-Bat Serum is bat gland extract originally created by Doctor Robert Langstrom for the original purpose of amplifying a person's hearing capabilities to bat-like levels. However, when Langstrom injected the serum into his bloodstream the serum caused him to transform into a half-human/half-bat creature possessing enhanced senses, strength and flight capability.
While initially advantageous, the individual's human mind regresses the longer they stay transformed until they effectively become wild animals.
An antidote to the serum is required to revert the individual back to their original form; with the first antidote being developed by Batman.
Involvement[]
- While initially shifting blame to her father, Talia al Ghul intends to take advantage of the gang war between Riddler and Joker in the Riddled with Crime DLC to release the Man-Bat Serum amongst the populace of Gotham City and destroy the city.
- After acquiring the formula from Doctor Langstrom, Talia used the Man-Bat serum to create her own contingent of Man-Bat Commandos to enhance her military forces.

- Robert Langstrom often uses the serum to transform into Man-Bat in times of need and developed pill versions of the serum, which allowed him to carry the serum everywhere for faster transformations.
