History of Dakota's Finest is an episode briefing that can be found in Dakota City and the Abandoned Subway duo. There are eight parts that comprise this briefing. It is part of the Shock to the System episode.
Location: Three blocks east and one block south of the canal, at rooftop level.
Briefing: "Rocket: When I met Icon, he had no interest in being a superhero. Can you believe that? He was an ole' 'get off my lawn' squatter in a robe who never left the house. The world has a lot to thank me for!" "Icon: Get the facts straight, Rocket. I own that house. The one you broke into. You should be thankful I didn't call the cops."
Location: At the west-side streetlevel of the block two blocks down and three blocks right from the northwest corner of the area.
Briefing: Icon: "The planet I'm from, Terminus, our culture thrives because we are bonded by and motivated by love. For Earth to last, it will have to do the same."
Location: Four blocks north and two blocks east from the southwest corner of the area, at rooftop level.
Briefing: Icon: "I have been on Earth for several centuries now, and in that time, had given up on improving life here. I had come to believe that the morality of human beings was too primitive. But meeting Rocket, someone who has suffered the worst of this planet, and seeing her still have hope inspired me. Now, I hope you get it right this time."
Location: At the north-side of the eastern block of the park just south of the highway.
Briefing: Static: "I got my powers protesting with the Black Lives Matter movement. Nothing's ever perfect, but I'll always fight for anything that unites people against injustice."
Location: North-side mid-level of the construction two blocks down and two blocks left from the northeast corner of the area.
Briefing: Rocket: "I've always loved a good fit, but I never could have guessed that a belt would be the key to my superpowers. It's alien tech from Icon, and it creates an inertial field that absorbs force and allows me to send it right back! I wish I had it when my momma used to whoop my butt!"
Location: Southeast of Ebon (the final boss for the duo) on top of two shipping crates.
Briefing: Ebon: "Look down on me if you want, but when the worst of the Bang Babies got messed up by the gas, when everyone else called them monsters, it was me who gave them a home."

Mail Messages[]
Upon completion of this briefing players receive a message from Rocket, accessible from any Mail Terminal.
"People like to hate on Dakota City. Especially the part where I'm from. But if they really knew what was going on here, and what we've been through, they wouldn't just judge us based on incendiary headlines in the news. I hope you got a chance to see this is a place worth saving, and that just like everywhere else, we have heroes too. And if you didn't, at least you get this."
The briefings are erroneously sorted under episode briefings and would normally be sorted under global briefings. The term episode briefing existed long before new content releases were (re)named episodes and was meant in the meaning of episodic.
