Flashpoint Amazons

Flashpoint Amazons are Amazons of Themyscira from a Flashpoint timeline, which starts to merge with the current timeline during the Attack of the Anti-Monitor anniversary event.

History[]

In the Flashpoint timeline, then-Princess Diana first meet King Orin after he saved her from her sinking raft off of Themyscira. After bringing the injured Amazon princess to recuperate back in Atlantis, Orin proposed a marriage alliance to join their two great nations. However, the prospective pair soon turned into mortal enemies after the assassination of Queen Hippolyta (seemingly by Atlantean hand) at their wedding and the beheading of Queen Mera by Queen Diana. Their subsequential war devastated Europe, with the Amazons conquering the United Kingdom as New Themyscira and the Atlanteans sinking greater Europe in a torrential retaliatory flood. Through the geokinetic abilities of Terra, the Amazons protected their new homeland from the destructive force of Orin's doomsday weapon by raising the island well above the floodline.

Undaunted, an Atlantean surface invasion was imminent. Cyborg attempted to gather a coalition of superheroes to intervene and sent Lois Lane to gather intelligence. Three months later, the Amazons learned of Lane's mission and were about to execute her when Professor Zoom, of all people, saved her in order to taunt the Flash. A coalition fleet sent by the President of the United States of America was decimated by the Amazons. The war continued and Amazons battled Atlanteans along with Cyborg's team and the Resistance until Aquaman's doomsday device wiped out the island.
