Story[]
The War of the Light began when Brainiac disrupted the emotional entities of the various Lantern Corps (Green, Blue, Sinestro, and Red). What began as a battle in Metropolis, quickly spread to outlying sentient planets. As the Corps – with your help – formed an uneasy alliance to combat the disruptions in the center of the emotional spectrum, the control over the influence of the edges of the spectrum weakened. Thus began the War of the Light Part II, with the arrival of Larfleeze’s Orange Lanterns and Carol Ferris’ Star Sapphires.
After traveling to Zamaron and restoring some balance, Hal Jordan and Sinestro explain to Carol Ferris that the greatest threat to the Corps is still coming. That threat arrived in Episode 15: Corrupted Zamaron with the emergence of the Black Lanterns. As the Black Lanterns corrupted the Star Sapphires home planet of Zamaron, Indigo-1 rallied to help purge the corruption. No one knew how severely the corruption had spread until it was revealed that even Hawkgirl had become a pawn under the control of the Black Lanterns’ power.
After the Black Lanterns were defeated on Zamaron and the Power Battery was restored, it seemed like things might be under control. Until they turned to Oa.
Now, Black Lanterns have invaded Oa, Hal Jordan has fallen, and the universe once again turns to you to assist the Green Lanterns before the Corruption spreads. In order to save Ion and Hal Jordan, a new member of the Indigo Tribe, Munk, Indigo-1’s second in command, arrives to assist.

Walkthrough[]
The mission initially appears as Hal Needs Help! in your journal. Go to Downtown Metropolis Battlezone, where a console (in the respective safe zones for heroes and villains) would give you the mission Oa Under Siege. A portal to the Oa Central Power Battery instance then unlocks next to it. (Hal Needs Help! only appears the first time you do the mission, afterwards you must start the mission at the console yourself.)
Black Lanterns are attacking Oa. One of the hardest parts of the mission is near the very beginning, where after defeating a single Black Lantern there is a large group of them in your way that can easily overwhelm inexperienced players. Afterwards, you find your way to the Central Battery barred by a black energy wall, try to breach it and you would fail. Hal Jordan battling Black Lanterns on the other side of the wall tells you to go get Munk.
Munk is found at the Downtown Metropolis Battlezone and tells you that you need to repel the invasion in Metropolis first. Defeat more Black Lanterns and prevent them from recruiting falling lanterns (they would turn into Black Lanterns if the mobs are not defeated quickly enough, or if they are not revived quickly enough afterwards).
Once you're done, talk to Munk and you would both return to Oa. While other lanterns hold off more Black Lanterns, you must fight your way back to the Central Battery where Munk would dispel the barrier.
The final boss is Corrupted Hal Jordan, who fights with Brawling combos.
- Flowing Corruption: The most dangerous effect in this fight, black energy storms randomly appear in the area (multiples can exist at once), dealing massive damage over time if you are in it.
- Dark Cage: Hal traps a target in a cage, stunning them and dealing moderate damage.
- Explosive Corruption: Hal spins in place, knocking back and stunning targets while dealing a heavy hit. Warned by Lethal attack icon, and since he is not immune to crowd control, they can interrupt this attack.
- There are three Black Lanterns in the room, initially inert. When Hal Jordan fall to roughly 75%, 50%, and 25% health, one, two, and three Black Lanterns would become active respectively. Whenever they are KO'ed, they can be banished by interacting with them, or they would revive at 50% health.
Once Hal is defeated, he returns to normal and Munk cleanses the Central Battery. However, he senses a presence behind the corruption - and Hal refers to it as Nekron.

Trivia[]
- Oa Under Siege is preceded in the War of the Light storyline by Corrupted Zamaron, and is followed by Blackest Day.
- Oa Under Siege is often mistaken as a Challenge. It is the only piece of solo content during the small episodes era (episode 15 to 25) that is not a challenge, unlike Deep Desires, The Science Spire, and Iceberg Lounge (Challenge). It is mechanically a repeatable solo mission, being tracked in the journal (and not On Duty) and is locked after completion unless replay badges are used, but narratively structured like a Challenge with two boss fights, or an Operation since it involves multiple locations (including an instance and an open world zone). However, it does not award guaranteed Source Marks like On Duty instances do.
