DoR: Desecrated Mausoleum is a tier 7 solo challenge in the Day of Reckoning chapter.
There are two distinct versions of the instance. DoR: Desecrated Mausoleum is the standard one, playable via the On Duty menu. Reckoning's Hideout is a more story-heavy version players go through during the Day of Reckoning introduction mission series, which can be accessed freely afterwards via a portal on the island in Kaznia City.
DoR: Desecrated Mausoleum shares daily loot locks with Reckoning's Hideout and Kaznian Necropolis Strike.

Objectives[]
Walkthrough[]
Talk to Esperanza Cavalera to begin. She and John Constantine deduce that Luzia Cavalera is under the sway of demonic forces. Esperanza will follow and aid the player in battle throughout most of the instance.
After fighting through many demons, you reach a circular room with the forward path locked. After killing The Bulwark, a unique demon guarding it, John tells you to find a treasure item that would open the door.
There are a total of 7 treasures in the room, which are all coloured a dark red. The "correct" one is on the left (north) side. It looks like a giant candle in a rectangular box. To complete the feat, player must interact with the other 6 first. Easiest way is to start going clockwise to the right of it and finally interacting with the correct one.
Runed door[]
Map of the Runes
It teleports you (and you alone) to a larger circular chamber underneath, where you need to find 3 runes to open the door. The 3 runes needed to unlock the door are different each run, displayed above the door. Interacting with the wrong rune would cause heavy damage. The runes are real-life Anglo-Saxon runes: ᛈ, ᛟ, ᛗ, ᛉ, ᚦ, ᛝ
There are 6 side chambers, each with a unique rune. In order, clockwise from the big door:
- ᛈ: With the skull cross. You need to kill a few demons to open the gate.
- ᛟ: With a near wall and a spiral corridor leading down, with many demons to kill on the way. There is a bug in that chamber where if you get KO'ed, it locks permanently preventing you from accessing that rune (does not seem to occur in other chambers).
- ᛗ: The rune is easily visible from the entrance. You need to interact with 4 books on pedestals. Demonic Tomes will fly at you. You are given a shield overhead warning for seconds before they connect and deal heavy damage. If blocked, they do no damage (still damages pets)
- ᛉ: Rune barely visible from entrance (locked behind a gate). Need to kill 3 Demonic Enforcers.
- ᚦ: (Note the game uses the triangular rendering of the rune, while Unicode renders it as semi-circular) Large bell; ring it and defeat demons.
- ᛝ: Red monolith. Interact with it. You only need to defeat 1 Greater Demon, but fire pits also appear around the room dealing damage if you touch them. Do not confuse with the ᛟ rune as the game renders them similarly.
Here is a mnemonic system to remember which rune requires which room:
- ᛈ: Looks like a sideways container (room with blood pool).
- ᛟ: Looks like a spiral staircase.
- ᛗ: Looks like an open book.
- ᛉ: Looks like a stake where bodies are impaled.
- ᚦ: Looks like a sideways bell.
- ᛝ: Looks like the cracks on the monolith.
Once 3 runes are activated, the door opens and you rejoin John and Esperanza. You find a summoning chamber and John proposes to summon the demon responsible to try and stop them. You need to get 2 bits of demonic essence be defeating two demon subbosses in 2 side chambers. The Smouldering Demon (north) summons demonic minions, but they always prioritise Esperanza, and continues to target her even when she has been KO'ed. They disappear when the Smouldering Demon is defeated. The Exploding Demon (south) has a mechanic where it summons 3 bombs at fixed locations, and you can defuse the bombs by interacting with them, but if you kill it fast enough it may only use bombs once or even never. You may fight it at the north side of the chamber (near entrance) which only has 1 bomb that does not overlap unlike the 2 bombs at the south so you are safe just defusing one.
After defeating each demon subboss, interact with the demonic essence behind them to take them, then interact with the 2 spots next to the spell circle in the middle to deposit them. Talk to John, and Neron appears. John stays behind, holding Neron in a Fire Prison (damages and knocks you back if you touch it), while you and Esperanza must press on; over the course of the instance, Voivode is revealed to have entered beforehand but is being hunted down by The Reckoning.
The Reckoning[]
At the final chamber, you find The Reckoning who has captured Voivode, and she proceeds to disintegrate her. You must defeat The Reckoning, who uses Brawling combos. However, she never uses its ranged basic attack or Stomp Smash, making block very effective against her. There is a healing barrel on the far side (east) of the room (including in Elite).
- Exobyte Steal: This is the main mechanic of the fight. The Reckoning hard stuns the player with an unblockable red-black beam (same effect as used against Voivode), dealing some damage over time, and removing all player abilities, also preventing them from using weapon attacks. Block remains very useful for The Reckoning's weapon attacks. Players can restore themselves by going to the Blue Lantern symbol on the ground summoned by Esperanza after a few seconds. While the player is disabled, some of The Reckoning's attacks only deal single digit damage, but Illusionary Spirits will continue to deal significant damage (see below).
- Oblivion: After saying "Nature, like me, is ravenous!" and the player is given a prompt to block (red icon with shield overhead), The Reckoning channels a bluish-white beam from her chest to the player, which hard stuns them for massive damage over time if not blocked.
- Blizzard: After saying "Face the chill of the grave!" and marking a red circle on the floor, The Reckoning summons a Blizzard like the Ice ability, damaging anyone caught within.
- Psychic Prison: A psychic field that damages targets on it over time.
- Illusionary Spirits: Similar to the Mental ability Mass Hysteria, The Reckoning summons Illusionary Spirits to attack you (although she only summons 3 at a time instead of 5, they persist until killed and she can resummon them, and it does not change her form unlike Mass Hysteria). They are more focused on the player and their Taunt and Ranged Attack can add up.
By manoeuvring Esperanza so that she gets close enough to The Reckoning, but without the player getting too close for The Reckoning to attack first (most easily done by flying/running up the chamber and going high above The Reckoning), Esperanza would attack first and The Reckoning will not retaliate as long as the player does not get too close or attack her. This allows The Reckoning to be defeated with no player input, even in Elite, although it takes a long time due to Esperanza's low damage output (~20 minutes in Elite). You must hit The Reckoning yourself at least once before she is KO'ed, or you will not receive loot (although the instance will still progress).
If you attack The Reckoning after Esperanza does, The Reckoning would retaliate against her (and sometimes your pet) but she still tends not to target you. Esperanza gets KO'ed fairly easily but The Reckoning will continue targeting her, and Esperanza will self-revive after a while. You may also stand on pillars on the sides of the chamber to hit The Reckoning with ranged attacks, and she would rarely hit you at all. Pets like Robot Sidekick can help whittle down her health even if you cannot reach her. Note however that Illusionary Spirits are more aggressive towards you, can fly and their attacks are ranged.
After defeating The Reckoning, Esperanza unmasks her. Addressing her as Luzia, Esperanza offers her sister help, which arrives in the form of Indigo-1, who inducts her into the Indigo Tribe, forcing her to face her guilt, causing Luzia to break down in tears.

Trivia[]
- Instead of entering through the door to the final room with The Reckoning, players may also climb or fly through the hole in the wall above, which triggers the transition into the final boss encounter identically. If you go in through the hole but keep very close to the door, you can actually "enter" the boss counter by opening the door from the inside.
- The Bulwark is originally named "Demonic Abomination" before being changed in late Feb 2025.
