Conversion (Briefings)

Conversion is an episode briefing that can be found in South Gotham open world locations, the Gotham Hospital, Riverfront Center and Riverside Hotel duos as well as the South Gotham Courthouse alert. There are nine parts that comprise this briefing. It is part of the The Battle for Earth episode.

Synopsis[]

The increased Brainiac activity in South Gotham has greatly altered the historic locale and its people. Perhaps there is more to the story; collect any information you can find in the area.

Briefings[]

Part 1: Conversion: Vicki Vale[]

Zone: Gotham City
Region: South Gotham
Location: On the north-east rooftop corner of the bottled Gotham Hospital.
Briefing: Vicki Vale: "This is Vicki Vale on location in South Gotham for a special edition of Gotham Now. I am standing near what was once a premier shopping strip. Exquisite jewelry, custom-made furniture and high fashion used to line these store fronts. Today these venues are encased inside massive forcefields or, as the locals call them, bottles. Excuse me, sir. May I ask you what keeps you in the area? -- All will become one with Brainiac. -- What? Wait? Where are you taking me? Ahh..."

Part 2: Conversion: Batman/Oracle[]

Zone: Gotham City
Region: South Gotham
Location: On the roof of an unbottled three-storey building east of Gotham Hospital and north of Gotham City Hall between to larger air outlets.
Briefing: Batman/Oracle: "Batman to Oracle -- Go for Oracle -- I have been tracking some of these converted citizens in South Gotham. It seems Brainiac's Union is some kind of workforce, building Sub-Avatars with the intend to attack the rest of the city. I'm gonna need backup."

Part 3: Conversion: Seismologist[]

Zone: Gotham City
Region: South Gotham
Location: Just south of Gotham City Hall in a trench on the street.
Briefing: Seismologist Dr. Archer: "Seismic Investigation Log - Entry 22B. This is Doctor Archer. We've been conducting various geophysical scans of the surface and sub-surface in South Gotham. The university sent our team here to investigate recent seismic activity reported by regional seismometers. My assistant has been running magnetotelluric scans, but the imaging data can't possibly be correct. There's no way those kinds of electromagnetic readings could be found beneath Gotham. I can only guess it has something to do with Brainiac."

Part 4: Conversion: Lex Luthor[]

Zone: Gotham City
Region: South Gotham
Location: At the south-west corner of the bottled Gotham Hospital in a trench near a Sub-Avatar building point.
Briefing: Lex Luthor: "No, you listen to me, Commissioner! This is a free country. You can't keep me from doing business in your little cesspool of a city! Besides I think Wayne Enterprises could use a little... philanthropic assistance in the wake of the Brainiac Attacks. Have you *seen* South Gotham lately?"

Part 5: Conversion: Lois Lane[]

Zone: Gotham City
Region: South Gotham
Instance: Riverfront Center
Location: On the building to the West, up on a roof level ledge to the South.
Briefing: Lois Lane: "This is Lois Lane with an emergency report on location at the site of Brainiac's latest attacks. The activity in South Gotham is unlike any we've seen before. When my colleagues and I were trapped inside the Daily Planet, Brainiac's forces wanted information. However, it seems these Brainiac invaders are targeting the populace. They're abducting civilians and bringing them inside the bottles... and I swear some of them... almost look like people..."

Part 6: Conversion: Brainiac[]

Zone: Gotham City
Region: South Gotham
Instance: Gotham Hospital
Location: At the Northeast corner of the cathedral-like building, mid-level.
Briefing: Brainiac: "Attention drones. You serve Brainiac well. Go. Convert more to the will of Brainiac. Scan all citizens for Exobyte data and mark these targets as priority one. Return them to me for Exobyte extraction. It is unfortunate that extraction will render their biological matter useless for complete conversion. Dispose of the remainder."

Part 7: Conversion: Vicki Vale/Batman[]

Zone: Gotham City
Region: South Gotham
Instance: Riverside Hotel
Location: At the east side of the map - left of the entrance - under some Coluan cables.
Briefing: Vicki Vale/Batman: "This is Vicki Vale... from inside one of the bottles... They've put me in some kind of... holding cell. I think they're planning to convert us into - oh god... here they come. Let go of me! Where are you taking me? You're going to make me one of you, aren't you!? This may be my last sign off... -- Get way from her! -- Batman! Help! -- That should slow them down. Let's get out of here! -- Wait! Let me get my recorder!"

Part 8: Conversion: Prosecutor[]

Zone: Gotham City
Region: South Gotham
Instance: South Gotham Courthouse
Location: On the east side of the building near the wall where the stairs lead to.
Briefing: The Prosecutor: "If anyone outside gets this message, there's still quite few of us trapped inside the Courthouse. It's been a rough few days, but the Judge is trying to keep order. I'm sure well be fine if you can get to us soon."

Part 9: Conversion: Prosecutor/Supreme Justice[]

Zone: Gotham City
Region: South Gotham
Instance: South Gotham Courthouse
Location: On top of the courthouse dome (east side) near a Coluan cable.
Briefing: The Prosecutor/The Supreme Justice: "Oh god... Is there anyone out there? Anyone?! Please, please get these messages! Everything's out of control! The judge has lost his mind!. I don't know how much longer we can.. -- Guilty on all charges! -- Nooo! Your honor! -- All will become one with Brainiac or face the charges!"
