Confronting the General is a weekly mission for heroes and villains given by Oracle-Bot in Apokoliptic Gotham City.

Intro[]

(Weekly) Darkseid’s top general is a formidable foe! With a little help from your friends and allies, Steppenwolf can be put in his place. He's been spotted near the open lot by the docks!

Walkthrough[]

Oracle-Bot can be found a short distance west of the docks (where players enter Apokoliptic Gotham). Steppenwolf is a bit further west, in the southwest corner of the map.

Steppenwolf uses two-handed weapon attacks.

  • Apokoliptic Agony: Warned by lethal attack icon. This is the main mechanic to avoid for players not being directly targeted. Suppression fields (white circles) appear randomly in the area, and being on one disables abilities and prevent weapon attacks. However, Apokoliptic Agony deals massive damage to all players in the area, and players must enter a field to negate the damage. The white circles are marked with light blue arrows while the attack is ongoing, so when they vanish it is safe to exit.
  • Lasso Taser: Steppenwolf drags a player towards him, stunning and damaging them.
  • Blast Wave: Steppenwolf marks a cone in front of him briefly before smashing the area.
  • Leaping Slam: Steppenwolf targets one player (red shield icon appears above them), and they must block to greatly reduce damage. Nearby players will also take massive damage (players must individually block). Despite the leaping animation, damage will still be dealt even though Steppenwolf does not physically reach his target. This attack ignores Shield Powers. Damage dealt indicates the source as the targeted player.
  • New God Axe: A large axe would autonomously perform Spinning Cleave as a roaming hazard on the floor.
