Access to the operation requires a combat rating of 150.
A Rip in Time is part of Episode 25 together with the Iceberg Lounge solo challenge.

Story

Whether it's fighting mercenaries, rescuing ancient Kahndaqi artifacts or orchestrating a jail break, there is never a dull moment when the Mysterious Stranger shows up. He's back and rounding up the team for what should be a legendary adventure. (Heroes) He seems to be on the up-and-up... despite some questionable recruiting. (Villains) The last job paid well, and this one should also.

First boss: Vandal Savage

The main mechanic of this fight is the bombing that occurs on multiple red circles on the floor after brief delays. Vixen has a blue spherical shield that prevents damage but since she would move around a lot it is not as reliable as simply getting out of the red targeting circles. The shield remains active even when she's KO'ed though, and would stay in the same spot.

First boss: Black Adam

The main mechanic is the Font of Magic in the area - which would shoot red projectiles (Eviscerating Fire) with a skull icon at players. Once hit, the target would keep taking heavy damage over time. This can only be cleansed by standing for a few seconds in a small blue fountain - which appears on a random spot above the grated underground stream that runs north-south in the boss room.

First boss: Vandal Savage

Vandal Savage is revealed to be the attempted usurper of the throne and must be battled at the palace.

• Bombs Away: During the A Rip in Time Operation, defeat the boss in the Mercenary Base without any of the group being affected by the bomb array's explosive blasts in a single run (25 Points)
• Eviscerating Fire Walk With Me: During the A Rip in Time Operation, defeat the first boss in ancient Kahndaq without any of the group members using a fountain to cleanse the Eviscerating Fire in a single run (10 Points)
• Priests of Burden: During the A Rip in Time Operation, defeat the final boss in ancient Kahndaq only after defeating all nine of his Priests in a single run (10 Points)
• Sack the Vandal: During the A Rip in Time Operation, defeat the final boss in ancient Kahndaq without allowing him to ever utilize his Savage Blast in a single run. Grants title: the Denier (25 Points)

Elite

• Alive at All Times: During the 'A Rip in Time' (Elite) Operation: (10 Points)
  • Complete the Mercenary Base section of the operation without any group members getting knocked out
